Renovation of the Ljubljanica banks

Renovation of the banks of the River Ljubljanica in the section flowing through the old city centre was a collective effort that concentrated resources in a range of specific interventions. Despite having several authors, the project continues the vision of architect Jože Plečnik of the regulation of bridges and embankments Ljubljanica. The project highlights the role of Ljubljanica as an important element of the city. It was awarded the European Prize for Urban Public Space in 2012.
