Building Renovation Vojašniški trg 3 – “Tri babe”
The main objective of the renovation was to place service rooms in the building on Vojašniški trg. For the needs of the Summer Auditorium of the Minorite Monastery as well as the Minorite Church, these had to include an info point, dressing rooms for performers and toilets for visitors. The primary activity – the catering business – is returning to the ground floor of the old building of Tri babe. The mansard houses the Puppet Museum with a children’s workshop, which opens onto the terrace above the info point pavilion. The terrace offers one of the best views in Maribor, as it is possible to see the former Minorite garden with the Summer Auditorium and the Judgement Tower, all the way to Mariborsko Pohorje.
The Tri Babe is part of the Minoriti Cultural Quarter, which architecturally consists of the Minorite Monastery, the Tri babe, the Church, the Auditorium and the Court Tower. Minoriti thus represent their own entity with profiled content, such as performance, performance, music and film content, creative collaborations, talks and exhibitions.
