Češča vas swimming pool
The swimming pool complex at Češča vas is built in a space dominated by the existing velodrome. The complex takes advantage of the topographic features of the terrain and is located rather low, so as not to constitute a new dominant in the space. The building’s discreet appearance is achieved by the low floating roof, under which the surrounding landscape is allowed to flow across the pool. The roof is covered with boards made of unprotected wood, which will age over time, allowing the building to blend with the materiality of the surrounding forests.
