Covering the remains of the church of St. John the Baptist in the Žiče charterhouse and the temporary lapidary
At the end of the valley of St. John the Baptist stands the former upper monastery of the Žiče Charterhouse. The visual focus of the monastery is the large monastic church of St. John the Baptist. The visitor of the monastary is drawn to the spatial exclamation of the gothic church visible above the defence walls. This conceptually well-thought-out solution resolves the half a century old dilemma concerning the acceptability of interventions in historic building material of the Charterhouse.
