Tone Pavček cultural centre in Šentjurij

This multi-purpose building in the village of Šentjurij houses a small cultural centre and a museum dedicated to the poet Tone Pavček. Its construction contributed to a renovation of the central village square. The concept of the building is very straightforward. Its massive black roof reaches the ground on the northern side, protecting the “softer” wooden elements, which face the square. The building opens towards it, the inside and the outside can become one when the sliding wall is opened. The stairs in the square serve as a small amphitheatre, descending towards the building.
