Rakar Hotel
The Rakar restaurant is a traditional Slovenian farmhouse which has been recently extended with a small hotel. The restaurant is in the former main building – hiša, while the hotel is housed in the new annex, subordinate to the main building. All the hotel rooms are facing the sunnier and quieter eastern side, while the corridor leading to the restaurant is on the noisier inner side. The building is so narrow that its low set roof fits in the rural surrounding. Predominant materials – wood and stone – match the traditional building materials of the Dolenjska region.
