A House for Extroverted Introverts

This house for a family of four is at the same time a home and a cottage. A long stone wall separates it from public areas. The house has a large patio with a terrace and a swimming pool directly connected with the living area on the ground floor. In the attic there is a children’s room and a studio. A garage for two cars and a garden shed are separate from the house but form the whole complex. The main heating source is a high performance ground-water heat pump, complemented by a fireplace. The rainwater collected in the reservoir is used for flushing toilets, laundry and garden needs.
