Renovation of the outbuilding at the Prešeren homestead in Vrba

At the entrance to the village of Vrba na Gorenjskem, Prešeren’s birth house, the outbuilding, the courtyard between them, and the green areas of the garden and orchard form a traditional rural homestead.

The outbuilding, built in 1888, was originally a barn and hayloft. With the renovation it has been converted into a contemporary interpretation centre that houses all the support and additional programmes for the museum in Prešeren’s birth house and related cultural activities.
