Kindergarten playground renovation
The renovated playground partly sits on top of an underground shelter. The central area of the playground is opened while the spatial organization of the border area is more structured and dynamic. This division facilitates control of the children and offers diverse playing spaces. In addition to a standard sandbox, the playground caters for other, more creative possibilities for children’s play – playing on rugged terrain, playing with water, outdoor crafts and painting and drawing on the wall. Special care was given to the contact of the playground and the kindergarten building, designed in the 1970s by architect Milan Štrukelj.
