Techical support building at Nordic centre Planica

The Čaplja building is the operational centre of the ski jumping activity at Nordic centre Planica. It houses service rooms, the lower terminal of the ski lift and the elevator. The dug-in ground floor of the building descends toward the base of the ski jump. The single-pitch roof covers a part of the open plateau and the ski lift service infrastructure. The hovering roof effect, which follows the terrain as it transforms itself in the slope, is replicated over the heating rooms on top of the ski jumps.
