New Ljubljana Railway Station

The railway upgrade includes a new overpass with a station hall, reconfigured passenger and freight tracks with new covered platforms, and a renovated, expanded underpass. From green plazas along Masarykova Street, escalators lead to a station hall 9 metres above the tracks. The overpass roof, a folded structure, spans the rails. Its symmetry creates a memorable arrival to Ljubljana. The changing roof height, light and shadow, and the sound of trains create a grand, immersive atmosphere.
