Grand Koper Hotel

The renovation of the Grand Koper hotel includes 66 new rooms, the Capra restaurant, the Caprizza pizzeria, several lobbies, the Carlo cocktail bar and a pastry shop. The architects’ idea was to preserve and upgrade the original design of the building and reviving its social and cultural significance. The distinctive exterior of the hotel has remained unchanged. The aim of the renovation was to open the ground floor towards the main street promenade. The hotel bar is located at the entrance. The fully opened glass front door leads to the arcaded lobby, while the reception has been moved to the far end of the lobby. The materials preserve the spirit of the original interior design by the architect Edo Mihevc and Professor Olga Rusanova, who created a rich and varied Mediterranean style with different textures and decorations.
