Pebble Atrium at Poljane Grammar School

Renovation of the existing outer atrium at Poljane Grammar School derived out of polycentic pattern – a pebble that changes its size, proportion and to some extent shape. Fragmented pattern, interpreted either as positive or negative space, corresponds to all the requirements of the project brief – 1m distance from the facade, different program islands for interacting and no determined orientation. The new atrium becomes a graphically interesting urban landscape – the heart of the school, which visually communicates with all its users.
