Studio Kabinet 01

A long, low building, once a carpentry workshop of the former Litostroj factory, has been given a new life in the premises of the design agency Kabinet 01. According to the wishes of the client, the renovation is based on the preservation of the original details and the appearance of the rough construction, while at the same time taking advantage of the double-sided lighting. Despite the short deadline (four months), the authors managed to create a comprehensive space where every detail, from the metal fence to the artworks, is harmoniously integrated into the industrial ambience. They perceive the renovation as a tribute to the industrial heritage, which is both the fruit of past creative collaborations and the seed for new ones, and they call it the “industrial chapel”.
