Renovation of parish house at Polje

Together with the church and the local school, the parish house at Polje is a recognisable element of the neighbourhood. The renovation restored the main entrance back to its original place on the main facade and placed the public spaces, such as the offices, service rooms and the kitchen, on the ground floor. The middle floor houses the priest’s and the chaplain’s apartments, while the attic is accessible to the public by a new staircase and a lift. It features a library, archives and a hall for different events. The renovation details are very sober and draw a clear line between the old and the new. The building boasts a lot of natural light, distinct connections between the exterior and the interior, and an open view of the church and the Alps.
