House C
The family house is located in a beautiful location at the end of the village, next to the forest. The elongated floor plan lies parallel to the slope and the access path. Attic rooms are also the rooms of the ground floor, where the main entrance, the parents’ bedroom and living rooms are located. The rooms are designed in such a way that the boundary between the outside and the inside is erased, the view connects through the windows, the rhythm of the construction and fences and the structure of the floor coverings to the interior and the forest. The most significant element of the continuous flow between interior and exterior are both the long roof and the ceiling. The rooms under the mansard are partially dug in and open to the west side, which overlooks the forest. The windows are positioned in such a way that light flows through the rooms at all hours of the day, the zenith windows give the impression of being among the treetops. The elements of architecture and furniture enable different uses: the stairs are also a sitting area, books are stored in the railing, the railing serves as a shelf behind the sofa, the hammock above the stairs is a reading corner.
The house is located in Pijava Gorica.
