The primary idea of the library is to create a space within the northern, southern, and eastern tracts which generates scientific research and supports the social space of faculty users in a way that creates a living environment – »a faculty living room«. The typology of the library extension is therefore not a completely conventional building, but a pavilion designed as a large bookcase, in which the user perceives the space with a completely new experience. Bookcases play multiple roles; they function as bookcases, building constructions, and a conductor of natural light. The structural design in which the visible wooden structure predominates creates spatial warmth and living character.
