Holiday house in Kranjska gora

The newly built wooden prefabricated building, almost entirely set up on an underground cellar, replicates the dimensions and design of a previous holiday home built on this site in the 1970s. Since the facade of the basement of the demolished building was covered in pebbles from the Sava River, as is typical of this area, today’s base of the house is also made of gabions, full of pebbles. The ground floor and the mansard are made of wood, which is an interpretation of the local building tradition. The wooden shades and the gable on the front facade emphasize the breathtaking mountain views.
