Attic apartment in the centre of Ljubljana

The concept of transformation of dark attics under magnificent old town roofs is not a new one: from the lavish Viennese lofts to less impressive, but still very carefully planned renovations. Most attic apartments can boast big volumes, more daylight and open spaces, which offer privacy in the midst of busy cities. Visiting such an apartment is always a surprise, as each case is a unique example of an architect’s sense of space.
This apartment in the centre of Ljubljana is the result of a close cooperation between the owner and the architects’ bureau. The floor plan takes advantage of the links between the interior and the exterior, which faces the green oasis. This renovation is the latest addition to a series of renewals of attics on the same block.
