Restoration of Štanjel Castle

Štanjel Castle is composed of several parts. The project encompasses the renovation of the interior of the lower and upper palaces, the castle courtyard, and the surrounding external areas. The renovation was carried out in several phases, resulting in the creation of new spaces: wine cellar, entry point, knights’ hall, conference hall, two museums, office spaces, storage area, and commercial premises. The main idea of the renovation was to clearly present the original structures, distinctly separated from the newly added elements.
