Exhibition Following the theatre
Designing an exhibition in a listed building was a huge challenge. The content, which was mostly on paper, had to be brought to life and transferred to space. The first part of the exhibition presents the open air theatres, while the second one is dedicated to the period when the first theatre buildings appeared in Slovenia. These are presented on traditional theatre carts. The Estates theatre is reconstructed complete with a small stage and periaktoi. All these traditional theatre elements are operational: the facades can be lifted and lowered, and the periaktoi turn as in a real theatre.
