Elipsa

The elliptical shape and dual character of the new residential building is the answer to the spatial characteristics of its heterogeneous location on the inner city ring. The volume of the building tangentially touches the ring and spreads towards the adjacent green areas. On the north side it borders on Secondary School of Economics dating back to late 19th century, and on the south it opens towards the Grubar canal and further towards the green slopes of Golovec. The Elipsa building develops a dual character of apartments with different external living spaces. The Continental type allows for smaller apartments with withdrawn loggias, providing greater privacy. The Mediterranean type to the south creates apartments with spacious console balconies. The cladding is composed of interlaced horizontal and vertical strips of ceramic tiles, evoking a textile pattern.
