Law Faculty

The Ministry of Education purchased two buildings from the former Ljudska Pravica printworks. These were the building containing the printworks and bindery, built round a courtyard, and a building on the Ljubljanica built in 1908 for the needs of the Catholic printworks. The faculty premises are arranged along the “student axis” that runs from the entrance plaza on Poljanski Nasip and ends on the other side on the little plaza in front of Plečnik’s “Peglezen” (Flat Iron) building. Professors’ offices and the dean’s office are arranged along this axis, followed by the student canteen, which opens onto an external plaza, and the former printworks building where the lecture theatres and library are located. A bust of the legendary jurist Martin Pegius by the sculptor Mirsad Begić stands by the river Ljubljanica on the edge of the entrance plaza.
