“Open architecture – open society” exhibition
This is not an ordinary architecture projects exhibition, but rather a collage of ideas and thought-provoking cues, taken from the recent issues of Outsider magazine. The architecture showcased here is varied: from the ruins of the shacks at Sečovlje saltpans, the remains of the disappearing village of Abitanti, sensitive renovations like the one of a Goričko farm, a stone showroom in Vienna, apartments in Vienna and Ljubljana, a house built by a local team with local materials, to the house inspired by Mies van der Rohe rather than by the architecture of its surroundings. The exhibition invites us to understand architecture as a creative mirror of our society and its sensibilities, evolution and openness.
The guided tour will be conducted by the authors of the projects, architects Jure Kotnik, Robert Veselko, Ana Gruden, Tina Hočevar and the bureaus Kombinat and NaVa arhitekti.
