Ljutomer main square

The design of the square is based on two concepts: the central empty space and the accentuated features which streamline the views and longitudinal movements. The city hall dominates the square, which was originally built around a pond, with water as its dynamic motif. Different aggregate states of water are represented in the square, from a crystal to a water mirror. The stone surface between the houses serves as an event venue, while other activities are aligned along the square.
