House RO

This single family house which does not want to stand out from its surroundings boasts some unconventional solutions despite its conventional design. It is a low energy house with windows 0.8 W/m2K, 20 cm façade insulation, and solar panels. It is designed with the correct orientation. Panoramic glazing on the south facade is the primary source of illumination and view. Summer overheating is prevented by the overhanging roof, which allows provides additional shelter in winter and passive heating. The main living area is illuminated with skylights. Children’s rooms are illuminated from the SW and NE, achieving a very balanced lighting. A 40 cm parapet wall enabled the  installation of roof windows with views of the surroundings.
