Edvard Peperko monument

The memorial was built to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Slovenia’s independence, close to the spot where the soldier Edvard Peperko was killed during the Ten-Day War. The memorial is located next to a pathway and close to the bridge where the battle at Trzin occurred in 1991. The statue is designed in the form of a regular vertical plate made of corten, from which the silhouette of a soldier saluting is carved. The carved figure symbolizes devotion to the homeland and the tragic loss of a young life.
