Administrative building of the Komunala Sežana d.d.

The new administrative building is conceived as a contemporary workplace where architecture, digitalization, human resources development, and sustainability come together to support the company’s growth. The project strengthens the role of Komunala Sežana d.d. as a progressive and socially responsible actor in the region. The building is multi-storey with a basement. The main entrance and customer reception are located on the south side. Offices are arranged on the ground floor and two upper floors, while service and technical spaces are placed in the basement. The roof is flat and accessible, allowing for future outdoor uses. The central feature is an open atrium that brings in natural light and forms a green inner core, visually connecting the departments. The design follows principles of sustainable construction. The south and west façades are partially greened to provide shading and improve the microclimate. A total of 52 parking spaces are planned, six of them equipped with electric charging stations. The building is energetically supported by a connection to the existing solar power plant. All areas are fully accessible for people with reduced mobility, with an elevator and adapted circulation routes. The project enables energy-efficient operation, long-term adaptability, and a high-quality working environment.
