We spend much of our lives in spaces surrounded by objects that influence how we experience and
use them. That is why it matters what they are like: how they are designed, how they are made, and
how they feel to the touch. They become part of our lives. We are happy when our children come to
love them too.
We founded Kubus interier 30 years ago with a desire to bring to Slovenia products from companies
synonymous with good, timeless and sustainable design. We have worked with many of them –
Vitra, Fritz Hansen, Artek, Magis, Stelton … – since the beginning. Over the years, we have also
connected with new companies that share our respect for nature and the world – Hay, Arco,
Montana … We present their products in our store because we believe that before buying an object
that will be with us for a long time, it is important to encounter it, touch it and experience it.
Kubus also has its own lighting brand. The SENCE collection grows from an iconic family of
veneer lamps designed by Nives and Franci Vehovar in the early 1960s. They understood that the
intensity and colour of light influence our sense of comfort and mood, and used the natural
properties of wood to soften the light and give it warm tones. Their lamps received several awards.
Today, new technologies have allowed us to renew the original collection, expanding it with new
shapes and wood species, while each lamp is still handmade. Natural variations in the wood grain
make every lamp unique. Choose from different shapes, sizes and wood species to create a space
that enriches your life.
