Warehouse in Medana
The warehouse is located on a steep hillside on the outskirts of Medana, next to the access road. Its form follows the shapes of neighbouring buildings. The client wanted a modern facility for storing wine bottles that would represent the character of his wines. Because the plot was quite small and very steep, the warehouse extends over several levels, uncommon for a storage facility. An industrial elevator connecting all floors thus becomes the functional core of the building. The architecture and the signage are so discreet that it is difficult to spot the building in the silhouette of the village, despite its contemporary design.
