The salt warehouses in Koper lost their significance with the abandonment of salt production. There were five warehouses in Koper, two of which have been preserved. The warehouse by the northern wall has long been a part of the city’s culture. The Municipality of Koper has therefore begun a renovation of the building into a new city cultural centre. New architecture is entering the old warehouse walls, bringing with it new content. The warehouse will once again become part of the city.
