The Sokol Hall at Tabor
Architect Ivan Vurnik also designed the building of the Sokol Hall at Tabor, which was built between 1923 and 1926 as the first indoor sports facility in Slovenia. It combined a programme of gymnasiums, social spaces and apartments. With this building, Vurnik established a shrine to the cult of the body and sport. The building is a functionally sophisticated whole, and the architect paid great attention to the design of the monumental space of the central gymnasium.
The building will be presented by art historian Gojko Zupan.
