RE_ACTION Project

Recycling + Self-construction. For young families, building a house poses significant challenges, particularly when opting for natural materials. Therefore, community support and self-construction play crucial roles. The core aspect of the house design is the reuse of formwork panels for cladding, both inside and outside the building. The layout is intentionally shaped to minimize leftover material, adapting accordingly, while the architectural details are tailored in a way that enables self-construction by individuals involved in the project. Combining self-construction and recycling to the greatest extent feasible primarily serves as the most cost-efficient solution.
