Lokev House

This family home is located in the village of Lokev in the Karst region of Slovenia where building regulations are very strictly defined. Its design is based on the needs of the complex contemporary family life, with both parents in artistic professions, and on their desire of living in close contact with nature. One of the premises of the project is a stone wall, an essential element of Karst topography. The concept of the house was developed following a few basic parameters, such as the direction of wind and sunlight, the views, and double walls with air as insulation material.
