House in Podutik
The house in Podutik is clearly divided into living and service areas. Service areas are placed inside four concrete cores on the perimeter of the floor slabs in the living area, thus supporting them and framing the views in all directions as well as giving shade to the outside area. The access to the house subtly follows the existing topography, while the floor slab above acts as an entrance and parking canopy. The entire interior happens as a direct consequence of the architecture, where programmed cores enable extremely open and undetermined living areas. The upper floor employs wooden cabinets to divide individual bedrooms. Unlike the rational monolithic house, the surrounding landscape is organic and diverse, which establishes a strong contrast between the nature and the building, which consequently enhances both.
