Cultural Centre Škocjan
The building connects the lower urban space and the upper primary school complex. It represents an architectural intervention in the urban and natural environment. It includes a hall for cultural events, a café as a social hub and a library. The wide staircase as an urban connection encourages visitors to be involved in the happenings. The building is visually coordinated with the surroundings and serves as a new urban space with a grass roof, reinforcing a sense of community that can limit youth out-migration.
