Attic T36
The attic apartment, which was essentially an unfinished loft in the centre of Ljubljana, has been refurbished into a studio apartment that can function as a dwelling unit or a workspace. It is open on three sides, which provides plenty of natural light. A typical wooden roof structure constructed with trapezoidal hangers has been completely preserved and it makes the arrangement of the open square ground plan possible. It also determines the combination of equipment that has to match the preserved wood. The greatest renovation challenge was taking advantage of the standing height in a space surrounded by three roof drops.
