Vilharia – the new benchmark of office spaces in Slovenia
A unique, sustainable construction is taking place on the degraded land located directly next to the new Ljubljana Central Station, placing it at the heart of a newly emerging central business hub. It is Vilharia, an office building that dictates new, sustainable criteria for business premises.
Corwin as the leading sustainable developer in Slovakia, Slovenia, and the Czech Republic is proud of Vilharia as an exceptional project, the biggest and the greenest office building in Slovenia. As first it has been pre-certificated with LEED Platinum and has the ambition to join the exceptional carbon-neutral buildings with the LEED Zero Carbon certificate.
On more than 36,000 m2 of office and retail space, Vilharia meets the requirements of most modern companies, which look for sustainable, healthy business premises, compliant with ESG principles and EU taxonomy. It perfectly connects outdoor and indoor spaces with flexible floor plans and large windows, letting in daylight.
“Many leading companies on the market have recognized that the quality of one’s office is correlated to the performance of their workforce. We spend 90% of our time indoors. The amount of natural light, high-tech ventilation, natural materials and more are becoming a significant factor in job search and overall job satisfaction”. commented Michal Maco, country manager of Corwin Slovenia.

- up to 30 % reduction of water consumption.
- 20 % reduction in CO2
Vilharia is designed to maximize energy efficiency and provide a workspace connected to nature – with innovative technologies, natural materials, green roofs, and water preservation system that will protect biodiversity and support a healthy lifestyle.
Vilharia was created with people in mind. Lightness, air quality, adequate temperature, and many other, carefully planned interior parameters will ensure greater satisfaction, better health, and productivity of its tenants. In such a working environment productivity and team engagement can increase by 25 % to 30 %, researches show.
The project was designed by the Danish architecture office Schmidt Hammer Lassen (SHL), together with the Slovenian provider of engineering solutions Elea iC.
More than 60 % of the works on Vilharia have been completed by September 2024 and the building is planned to be set for tenants in the beginning of 2026. There is a big interest in this remarkable and most sustainable project in Ljubljana and Slovenia among the best, most advanced and future oriented companies.
