Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of Slovenia
The Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of Slovenia (IPCHS) is a public institute that carries out professional and administrative tasks with regard to the preservation of immovable and corresponding movable property and intangible cultural heritage.
Its mission is to preserve heritage as an important part of the cultural diversity of Slovenia and as part of European and world heritage, to integrate heritage into modern life, to develop heritage awareness and to enable present and future generations to enjoy it.
Through its organizational units, the Institute carries out activities in the field of conservation, conservation-restoration and preventive archaeology. It covers the territory of Slovenia in administrative and professional terms.
