Renovation in Strokes of Oil on Canvas

The complete renovation of this 61 m² atrium apartment found its color inspiration in a work of art – an oil painting by Živko Marušič, which is especially cherished by the client. From it, a refined palette of white, beige, yellow, brown, and black emerged, subtly weaving through the space to create a harmonious and warm atmosphere. The apartment also offers flexibility – part of the living room can easily be transformed into a comfortable guest room with a bed hidden in a wardrobe and a curtain for separation. The bathroom, in contrast, reflects the client’s enthusiasm for tropical destinations, while the bedroom, with its muted color scheme and warm materials, evokes the cherry orchards she holds close to her heart. The renovation was conceived and executed as a cohesive whole (except for the previously replaced windows), with each room carrying a part of the client’s story, merging art and living into a seamless unity. Key furniture elements – wardrobes, doors, the bed, and the table – were custom-designed and crafted, giving the apartment a unique character and adaptability.

The apartment is located in Ljubljana.
