Housing Dolgi most

The building is located in a suburban environment between a city thoroughfare and the railway line. The five apartments are designed within a compact prismatic volume, which is placed on a semi-open, partially underground parking space. The upper apartment is designed as a “loft” with access to a terrace deepened into the roof. The concept of “floating volume” is emphasized by the open entrance staircase. The reduction of traffic areas has enabled the majority of the land to be designed as a garden space, which is a combination of paved and green surfaces. The façade surfaces of the building are “perforated” with the compositional play of two types of openings according to the internal organization and framing of views. The range of materials used is limited to wood, concrete, and fiber cement boards.

The apartments are located in Ljubljana.
