House on the edge of the forest
The house by the forest, originally conceived as a typical prefabricated home, evolved into a completely unique project during the process of designing the interior and adjusting the floor plan to meet the needs and desires of the clients. The key focus in the design of the house was connecting the outdoors with the indoors. The house is a single-story structure, without a single step. The surrounding nature dictated the color scheme that is present throughout the house. In the interior, wood and stone dominate, with the majority sourced locally. The furniture, with a few exceptions, is custom-made and covered in oak veneer. Large glass surfaces act as backdrops, providing new scenes created by nature every day. The door handles are the work of the academic sculptor Metod Frlic.
The house is located in the surroundings of Škofja Loka.
