MAO – Museum of Architecture and Design

The Museum of Architecture and Design (MAO) is one of the oldest architecture and design museums in Europe. It was founded in 1972 as the Architectural Museum Ljubljana. It is the caretaker of the world’s most comprehensive collection of Slovenian architectural and design heritage. By collecting and presenting heritage, MAO provides visitors with an understanding of the past and the future of architecture, design and photography. Through exhibitions, education, knowledge transfers and creative exchanges, they act as a space for diverse activities suitable for a wide range of audiences.
