Gold Medal from EcoVadis for the Geberit Group

In 2025, the Geberit Group received the EcoVadis Gold Medal for its sustainability management. This places Geberit among the top 5 percent of more than 150,000 assessed companies.

The Geberit Group was awarded the EcoVadis Gold Medal again in 2025. This is the second-highest distinction granted by the provider in its annual sustainability rating. Geberit ranks among the top 5 percent of all companies evaluated by EcoVadis across all industries and countries. The award highlights to customers and suppliers that Geberit has established a comprehensive, systematic, and long-term sustainability management system.

What is EcoVadis?

Since its establishment in 2007, EcoVadis has become one of the world’s largest providers of corporate sustainability ratings, creating a global network of more than 150,000 assessed companies. EcoVadis conducts risk and performance assessments across 250 industries and over 185 countries. Its analytical system covers 21 criteria divided into four thematic areas: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Comprehensive and verifiable sustainability strategies are becoming increasingly important for companies. More and more wholesale customers are demanding transparency from their suppliers regarding sustainability performance. Providers like EcoVadis play a key role in enhancing transparency of corporate sustainability performance and offer customers a reliable basis for comparison.

Committed sustainability strategy

More than 30 years ago, Geberit developed its first environmental strategy and implemented specific measures. Over the years, this strategy has gradually evolved into a comprehensive sustainability strategy. It is based on the UN 2030 Agenda and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Geberit focuses in particular on Goal 6, “Clean Water and Sanitation,” and Goal 11, “Sustainable Cities and Communities.” In addition, it makes significant contributions to Goal 8, “Decent Work and Economic Growth,” and Goal 9, “Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure.”
