Urban walk UIRS: Traffic and Public Space – Missed Opportunities

The walk will lead us through selected public spaces in the centre of Ljubljana, all of which have been renovated in recent years using different approaches and achieving varied results. We will begin on Eipprova Street, continue along Emonska Road to the Square of the French Revolution, and then proceed via Vegova Street to Congress Square, where the walk will conclude. Along the way, we will observe spatial solutions that, despite renovation, do not fully address the real needs of diverse user groups and create mismatches between design and actual use.

The walk will be guided by experts from the Transformative Transport Planning Research Group of the Urban Planning Institute of the Republic of Slovenia: Dr. Aljaž Plevnik, Assist. Prof. Dr. Luka Mladenovič, and Dr. Mojca Balant.
