Jugošik Apartment

The Jugošik Apartment is not an ordinary interior – it is a carefully renovated home, furnished almost exclusively with restored and upcycled pieces from the Jugošik brand, created by architect and designer Nina Savič. Located on the ground floor of a bourgeois building in the Tabor area of Ljubljana, it is a bright, adaptable, and authentic living space where every item tells its own story.

The apartment underwent a comprehensive renovation between 2018 and 2019, with completion in 2025. The goal was to create a spacious and airy space filled with warmth and intriguing details. This was achieved through a circular layout, enabled by an opening in the form of a window between the kitchen and hallway, where the doors had previously been bricked up, an extended passage into the kitchen, and the reinstatement of the doors between the two rooms. A unified floor, oak parquet, further contributed to the visual connection of all four spaces.

The lighting and furniture are carefully selected and placed within the space. Most of the items are second-hand – found on the street, online portals, in collection centers, or inherited. The architect has turned these into unique solutions.

The apartment is located in Ljubljana.
