Hygiene and Skin Protection – A New Standard in the Bathroom

Shower toilets are an excellent investment when it comes to personal hygiene. The shower provides a feeling of complete cleanliness, as water is the most effective way to cleanse after using the toilet. A toilet with an integrated spray function allows for thorough and gentle cleaning without the need for toilet paper.

The Geberit AquaClean Alba shower toilet looks like a classic toilet from the outside, with the technical components cleverly concealed.

Protection of the skin in the intimate area

Healthy skin provides sufficient protection against external influences. However, it is also vulnerable—especially in sensitive areas such as the intimate region. Proper cleansing is extremely important to minimize the impact on the skin’s natural protective abilities. Soaps and wet wipes often contain alcohol, fragrances, and preservatives. Combined with wiping, this can irritate the delicate skin in that area, which may lead to bacterial infections, trigger allergies, and damage the skin’s natural acid barrier. Using clean water for cleansing poses no risk of irritation or infection, making it the best method of hygiene.

Geberit AquaClean shower toilets

Since 1978, Geberit has been producing devices with shower functions, and this year they are introducing a new product – the Geberit AquaClean Alba. The simple elegance of the new AquaClean Alba shower toilet fits perfectly with any bathroom design. The shower toilet looks like a classic ceramic bowl but offers much more – at an affordable price. With AquaClean Alba, water-based cleaning becomes accessible to many households.

The Geberit AquaClean Alba is equipped with essential features to maintain intimate hygiene, offering a pleasant and effective showering experience.
The device can be controlled via a remote control or through a mobile app.

Sustainability Aspect

In life cycle assessments, Geberit shower toilets performed well and are comparable to conventional toilets in terms of toilet paper consumption. The additional water used is negligible when compared to the water and energy required to produce toilet paper and heat water. Producing the amount of toilet paper needed annually by a single household consumes approximately 2,350 liters of water. In contrast, the Geberit spray function uses only 1,500 liters, resulting in a water saving of 850 liters per year.
