Light is one of the most important elements of architecture. It shapes our view of space, creates a pleasant atmosphere, casts shadows, and emphasizes architectural elements and materials. Because it constantly changes throughout the day and the seasons, its regulation is one of the key issues in modern planning.<\/p>\n

Today, architectural considerations about light go beyond the size of window openings and the orientation of the building. The focus is on how to direct, soften and adapt light to the needs of the user. Light regulation<\/a> is no longer just a technical solution for shading, but an important tool for creating a quality living environment.<\/p>\n

The tine line between openness and intimacy
\n<\/strong>Modern architecture is often based on large glass surfaces that blur the line between interior and exterior. Such openness brings an abundance of natural light<\/a> and contact with the surroundings, but at the same time raises questions about the building’s energy efficiency, privacy and living comfort. External blinds are therefore an increasingly important part of architectural design. They are a filter between the public, outside world and our private, intimate lives. Their role has gone beyond functionality – they are also co-creators of our psychological and biological rhythms.<\/p>\n

Light that stays when we want it
\n<\/strong>Modern shading solutions allow a space to maintain the right amount of brightness throughout the day. The light filtered through the shade improves living comfort and reduces glare.<\/p>\n

Such an approach is particularly important where natural light is part of the quality of life \u2013 in living rooms, studios, work spaces or holiday homes. In these spaces, the goal of the shade is not to exclude light, but to adjust it accordingly. While in other spaces, we can of course completely block its path into the interior of the space.<\/p>\n

An important aspect of modern living is also privacy. The micro-perforated<\/a> surfaces of the shade\/roller blind allow a view outside, while at the same time limiting the field of view of the outside observer into the interior, creating a subtle balance between openness and intimacy. The space remains connected to its surroundings without losing the feeling of safety, comfort and shelter.<\/p>\n

Shades as part of architecture
\n<\/strong>Different spaces require different lighting scenarios. A living room needs different regulation than a bedroom, a work space needs different regulation than a bathroom. The choice of shades is an individual decision, but the role of the architect with his knowledge in the design itself is of great importance.<\/p>\n

External blinds<\/a> allow for precise direction of light by tilting the slats, while modern roller shutters offer different levels of transparency and protection. When such solutions are included in the planning phase, they become a natural part of the architecture and help create the external appearance of the building and the character of the space.<\/p>\n

At the same time, they play an important role in the energy efficiency of buildings. External shading reduces the heating of glass surfaces and contributes to a more pleasant indoor climate, which is becoming increasingly important in times of increasingly frequent heat waves.<\/p>\n
