PREFA is expanding its range of modern, modular facade designs with six new extruded profiles, a corrugated and toothed profile. The profiles are technically sophisticated, allow for precise processing and impress with proven PREFA quality, “made in Austria”!<\/strong><\/p>\n

In modern architecture, the facade is increasingly coming to the fore. It is expected to be technically reliable, durable and at the same time allow for a wide range of design freedom. Ventilated facades represent a permanent solution: they clearly separate the structure and protection from weather influences, ensure stable construction and physical performance and allow design freedom in the choice of shapes and surfaces. This creates a building envelope that is technically reliable and at the same time allows for architectural freedom.<\/p>\n

With clear edges and a play of light and shadow
\n<\/strong>A total of six new PREFA extruded profiles perfectly combine technology, design and practicality. The wavy profiles with soft transitions create a flowing, uniform visual effect, while the serrated profiles with pronounced edges and a play of light and shadow create striking accents. Thanks to the uniform construction width and appropriate transitions, all six profile shapes can be combined modularly on the facade. They can be laid vertically, horizontally or diagonally, creating interesting visual effects. The color coordination with the entire PREFA system further rounds off the concept and ensures an aesthetically perfect facade envelope.<\/p>\n

Durability and uniform appearance
\n<\/strong>As a suspended ventilated facade, the corrugated and serrated profiles can be installed on aluminum, wood or steel substructures, depending on the static requirements. The 1.8 mm thick extruded aluminum profiles are robust, corrosion-resistant, durable and almost maintenance-free, and due to their mechanical strength they also provide additional protection against vandalism in ground floor areas.<\/p>\n

The high dimensional accuracy and design stability of the extruded profiles ensure precise lines and a homogeneous surface appearance. They are also easy to install: the concealed fastening ensures a uniform, high-quality appearance. Installation with sliding joints allows for compensation for thermal expansion and thus prevents stresses and deformations. The profiles are available in any cut lengths and in a length of 6,200 mm, which is optimized for floor heights. This allows maximum freedom in design and significantly reduces work time on site.<\/p>\n

For aesthetically perfect finishes, color-coordinated finishing elements are available, giving the facade a harmonious appearance.<\/p>\n

Visible highlights and versatile use
\n<\/strong>The system enables eye-catching design accents on smaller facade areas, and also works perfectly as a high-quality balcony cladding or as a complete facade solution without visible fastenings for minimalist architecture. As a balcony cladding, it provides functional and aesthetic protection from views and wind, while meeting legal requirements for fall safety.<\/p>\n

The new profiles are particularly suitable for use in ground floor areas of residential and commercial buildings, where the high strength of the material offers additional protection against damage. It is also possible to create targeted design accents in interior spaces with PREFA corrugated and toothed profiles, for example in spacious entrance or reception areas with indirect lighting.<\/p>\n

The surfaces are easy to clean and are available with a powder coating that matches the complete PREFA system \u2013 in all P.10 colours, in all available RAL or NCS colours and in a natural finish (suitable for anodising). This allows for great colour flexibility, high resistance and an aesthetically pleasing appearance. As it is made of solid aluminium, the profiles meet fire class A1 for the natural\/anodised version and A2-s2, d0 for the powder-coated version.<\/p>\n
